Sunday Business Post Interview

with Master Chefs CEO Pat O’Sullivan

Our founder and CEO, Pat O’Sullivan, was recently featured in the Sunday Business Post, where he reflected on the journey of Master Chefs and the values that continue to shape the business.

Originally from Waterville, County Kerry, O’Sullivan began working in hospitality at just 15 and had already built a decade of experience in the industry by the age of 25. After progressing to manage a team of chefs at the Castletroy Park Hotel, he went on to found Master Chefs in 2000.

Since securing its first contract at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, the company has grown into a national hospitality provider employing more than 450 people. Recent partnerships include the National Gallery of Ireland, Dexcom Stadium, and Bons Secours Hospital.

In the interview, O’Sullivan also discussed the importance of maintaining high food standards, navigating industry challenges such as the financial crash and the pandemic, and investing in a sustainable future through Ellan Farm, the company’s organic farm and food innovation project.
